A customer needed to upgrade their ammonia refrigeration system to support growth, while also exploring ways to improve overall efficiency.
SOLUTION
Summit’s collaborative and comprehensive approach started with understanding the customer’s needs, wants, and budget. With those things in mind, Summit designed a solution that consisted of two phases. This phased approach helped to ease the transition, while also minimizing any potential system downtime. The Summit Team replaced the condenser, which lowered discharge pressures, leading to improved efficiency. The next phase was to replace 3 reciprocating compressors with 1 new screw compressor.
RESULTS
Summit’s solution ultimately helped increase energy efficiency and lower the total cost of ownership for the customer.
